Glentoran-Institute match report

We headed into this game on the back of a very creditable draw against our biggest rivals in the previous game. The start of the match however saw us under pressure from the kick off and thanks to Elliott Morris we were still in the game until we took the lead much like David De Gea saved Man United last night Elliott done the exact same for us.The first goal came from a Niall Henderson corner that was put over the line by Jay Magee after 26 minutes this seemed to calm us down a bit however we still gave away a few too many chances to Stute and on another day they would have punished us had Robbie Hume been a bit more composed in front of goal. The game was still up for grabs until Newtownards lad Steven Gordon popped up with what would turn out to be the winner from a Curtis Allen pass after he done brilliantly to stay on his feet after a messy tackle in the box.The joy on Steven’s face was clear for all to see and was a great moment for the lad who stood on the terraces as a fan and is now living the dream of every fan by pulling on the Red,Green and Black. This was a win that again helps build a bit more belief in the squad before a very tough looking fixture away to the current league leaders at Shamrock Park next weekend so again they will need every single one of us behind them from the off to guide them to a result no one is surely expecting.
